I trudged my way round the course with a stinking cold in the rain (no surprise there). Probably the only runner to smell of 5 full Scottish breakfasts dished up before I left for Glasgow!

No personal best for me this time although because of my cold I did manage an amazing 194bpm heart rate so at least one record broken if nothing else.

Hopefully I’ll have better luck and better weather for the Oban Half in October.

(My race time for those of you who are interested was 1:56:24 a whole 4 mins slower than last year!)

Craig Stewart came in first in just over 5 hrs and 34 mins and Paul Hart finished second some 6 minutes later. Fantastic result from both of them and they have our complete admiration!
